image001Mary Alice Alcorn, 81, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw.

She was a 1950 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, Fla. She moved to Warsaw and had lived here from 1975-1987, and worked at Lake City Bank as a teller. She returned in 2005 and had resided here until her passing. Mary was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Warsaw.

She was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Springville, Tenn., to Audie B. Goforth and Myrtle (Crass) Goforth. On Feb. 19, 1955, she was married in Jacksonville to Bruce Keith Alcorn, who survives in Warsaw.

She is survived by four sons: David (Anita) Alcorn, Warsaw; Jonathan (Jacki) Alcorn, Argos, Ind.; Timothy (Isabel) Alcorn, Missouri City, Texas; Andrew Alcorn, Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren: Kelsey, Ian, Lauren, Kyle, Kayla, Hannah, Emily, Nathanael, Alexander, Mariella, Cassidy and Tate; three brothers: James Goforth, Jacksonville, Fla.; Jerry Goforth, Jacksonville, Fla.; Larry (Sadie) Goforth, Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters: Marie (Lamar) Carter, Mount Dora, Fla.; Wanda (Bob) Malone, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Brenda Jewel, Largo, Fla.; and S. Ashley Goforth, Wesley Chapel, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at the funeral home and is to officiated by Pastor Layne Sumner. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
