James R. Ellison, 60, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.

On May 7, 1953, he was born in Warsaw to Robert M. and Betty L. (Stevenson) Ellison. He married Cynthia J. Blue on May 14, 1970, in Oswego, Ind., who survives.

James was a lifelong resident of Warsaw, graduating from Warsaw High School, Class of 1971, and then he attended Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind. He worked for ABC Industries and then worked for Dekko Heating Technologies, North Webster, Ind., as a production manager for many years.

He was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He loved flying, he was a real history buff and he enjoyed his grandchildren.

James is survived by his wife: Cynthia J. Ellison, Warsaw; his daughter: Melissa (Tony) Setser, Winona Lake, Ind.; his son: Michael Ellison, Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren: Nicholas and Andrew Setser, Winona Lake; his brother: Thomas Ellison, Florence, Ore.; and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Jack Ellison.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home with Pastor Boyd Kuester officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
