INDIANAPOLIS — Sigur Rós will appear live at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept, 17 at the Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis with special guests to be announced.
Sigur Rós are Jón þor (Jónsi) Birgisson (vocals, guitars), Orri Páll Dýrason (drums) and Georg (Goggi) Holm (bass). The band is touring around the world with a new live show featuring an 11-piece live band and new material from their upcoming album “Kveikur “set to be released later this month. The self-produced album contains nine tracks and is their first as a trio. The show looks to eclipse Sigur Rós’ previous high-water marks of live presentation with new visuals, new lights and stage set, plus of course, the new songs.
Advanced reserved seat tickets and general admission lawn tickets, plus applicable fees, go on sale 10 a.m. this Friday, June 14 and will be available at the Old National Centre Box Office (except day of show), online, Ticketmaster, participating Wal-Mart locations or charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000. Ticket prices are subject to change and special offers may occur without notice at anytime prior to and including the day of the event.
