DillmanRonald Lee Dillman, 82, Of Twelve Mile, Ind., passed away at 10:55 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Logansport, Ind.

Born May 11, 1931, in Cass County, Ind., Ron was the second of four sons of the late Carl T. and Esther (Dewald) Dillman. On March 3, 1957, at the Corinth Brethren Church, he married Janet E. (Rhinebarger) Dillman, who survives.

A lifetime resident of Cass County, Ron was a 1950 Twelve Mile High School graduate. He served in the Navy Air Force from 1951-1955. Ron was a Korean War Veteran having served aboard the USS Lake Champlain. He also worked for the Civil Service at Grissom Air Force Base in Bunker Hill. Ron worked for Harold Dewald as a carpenter before he began his career in dairy farming. Ron retired in 2006 after working 48 years on the farm. He was a member of the Indiana Farm Bureau, the American Legion and the Gideons. Ron was a member of Corinth Brethren Church in Twelve Mile.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years; his children: Kevin Dillman, Twelve Mile; Debra (Bryan) Holliman, Logansport; Dawn Pickens, Warsaw, Ind.; Dana Dillman, Nashville, Tenn.; and Cynthia (Keith) McIntosh, Nashville.; ten grandchildren: Chasity Dillman (fiancé Michael Johnson) DeKalb, Ill.; Dustin (Megan) Dillman, Lucerne, Ind.; Ericka Dillman, Twelve Mile; Alex Dillman, Twelve Mile; Matthew Holliman, Logansport; Lindsey (Matt) Dunithan, Milford, Ind.; Kayley, Brandon and Ryan McIntosh, Nashville.; always a great joy, brightening their great-grandpa’s days were his four great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Paytyn and Addisyn Dillman; Aiden Johnson, Champaign, Ill.; three brothers: Marvin Dillman, Twelve Mile; Carl E. (Shirley) Dillman, Plymouth, Ind.; and Robert (Linda) Dillman, Logansport; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by one niece: Tina Marie Dillman; one nephew: Steve Dillman; and one sister-in-law: Harriet V. Dillman.

Visitation will be will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Ind. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at McClain Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Thompson and Reverend Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park in Cass County with full military rites.
