Whitko Schools recently recognized six staff members who are retiring this year. Those individuals are: George Hainje who served as Whitko Middle School principal and 16 years with the corporation; Vonda Lehman, a Whitko bus driver with 38 years; Rita Mohr, South Whitley Elementary Teacher for 39 years; Bruce Hansen, South Whitley Elementary principal for 1 ½ years; Kay Gilson, Whitko High School bus driver and resource assistant who was with the corporation 24 years; and  Brenda Walpole, South Whitley Elementary teacher with 29 ½ years.
