A crash involving two vehicles at Center and Washington streets has sent two people to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash happened at about 1:16 p.m. and had Warsaw Police, Warsaw Fire Department and Multi-Township EMS responding. Initially a third vehicle was believed to have been struck after the initial impact, but that was not the case.
According to the Warsaw Police report, Tiffany Hall, 33, of Silver Lake, was northbound on Washington Street and stopped at the Center Street stop sign. Hall said she looked both ways but failed to see an eastbound SUV driven by Christy D. Hale, 37, of Warsaw, and pulled in front of it.
Hall complained of chest pain and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment. Hale suffered neck pain and was also taken to KCH for treatment. A passenger in Hale’s SUV, Hailey Hale, 10, also of Warsaw, was thrown from the back seat of the SUV into the front seat. Christy Hale said the girl sometimes unbuckles her seat belt.
The scene was cleared by 2 p.m. Damages were estimated at up to $10,000.
