INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association released its list of 165 student-athletes that were chosen as 2020 baseball Academic All-State selections.

The list, issued Monday evening, spotlights the potential baseball players for the 2020 high school season from the academic standard set by the association. To make the list, players were to have scored to standard on SATs, maintained required GPA and have been nominated by their coach as a member of the association.

Two players from NorthWood, Jack Wysong and Cooper Davis, were among the locals selected. Nearly two dozen total players from the area were selected.

Also chosen to represent the IHSBCA student-athletes from the area included Culver Academy’s William Yoon, Gage Gessner and Matt Regan; Peru’s Jonah Huppenthal, Chris Dicken and Michael Chandler; South Bend St. Joe’s Luke Fortener, Brady Gumpf and Ian O’Connell; Manchester’s Korbin Hensley and Justin Self; Mishawaka’s Donovan Snyder and Ryan Watt; Lakeland’s Braden Yoder; Westview’s Kurtis Davis; Southwood’s Jackson Simons; Rochester’s Braxton McGlothin; South Bend Adams’ Jaccar Watkins; Goshen’s James Taylor; John Glenn’s Garrett West; and Penn’s CJ Kavades.
