SOUTH WHITLEY – The Whitko baseball team put an exclamation point on an outstanding regular season Monday night.

The host Wildcats defeated Bethany Christian 12-2 in five innings in the regular season finale.

Alex Stoddard paced the hosts at the plate by going 3-4 with two RBI as the Wildcats piled up 14 hits in the win.

Ethan Nicodemus was 2-2, including a double, with two RBI for coach Erik Hisner’s talented team.

Trey Weber was 2-3 with a triple, three RBI and two runs scored for the winners. Tanner Garr was 2-3 with a pair of runs scored for the Wildcats.

Avery Robbins collected the pitching win for the hosts.

Whitko, now 20-8, plays Eastbrook Friday at 7:30 p.m. in a semifinal game of the Class 3-A Bellmont Sectional.
