One person initially said to be suffering from severe head trauma after being hit by a vehicle, has died.

Scanner traffic at about 10:10 p.m. indicated at least one person on a bike was struck by a vehicle in the area of 5918 E. Pierceton Rd., Pierceton. Lutheran Air was requested to fly to the scene to provide transport, but at 10:35 p.m. the helicopter was disregarded and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office was summoned to the scene.

Police, Pierceton Fire and Multi-Township EMS are on scene. This is a breaking news event and information can change as emergency personnel respond and investigate.
