Vernon V. Davis Jr., 77, North Webster, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at his home.

He was born Oct. 24, 1942, in Goshen, to Vernon V. & Viola P. (Strieby) Davis. On July 13, 1968, in Goshen, he married Patricia (Stiver) Davis and she died July 14, 2007.

Surviving are sons: Nelson E. (Michelle) Moreland and Timothy S. (Angie) Moreland; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Ruby Jeffries, Linda Holland and Nelson Davis, all of Goshen.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife; son: Harold Davis; siblings: Bessie Bowling, Rowena Warble, Shelby Bloss, Evelyn Geaugh, Norman Davis, Leroy Davis and Robert Davis.

He retired in 1994 from Goshen Iron and Metal as a shear operator.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service on Friday, May 29, all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor Byron Kaiser will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the family for funeral expenses.
