Paul Arthur Bartels Sr., 61, North Webster, passed away at 4:37 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at his home. He was born on Jan. 18, 1959, in Iron Mountain, Mich. to Rhinehart Charles & Gloria (Buchner) Bartels.

He graduated in 1977 from Pembine High School in Pembine, Wisc. and was a United States Army veteran. He was married on Aug. 7, 1980, in Copenhagen, Denmark to Debra A. “Deb” Serviss who survives and moved to North Webster in 1994 from New York. He formerly worked for Supreme Corp. in Goshen, Rinker Boats in Syracuse, Syracuse Rubber Company, and Contech in Pierceton.

He was a former member of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Tiffany (Eric) Pinkerton & Dawn (Russell) Coy, both of Syracuse; a son, Paul (Shannon) Bartels Jr. of North Webster; seven grandchildren; his mother, Gloria Ferguson of South Bend; three sisters: Roxanne (John) Lesjaxck of Menominee, Mich.; Joann (Dennis) Keenan of South Bend, and Malinda Voet of Norway, Mich.; brother, Richard (Cathy) Bartels of Marinette, Wisc.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, May 29, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. A brief military service will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home.
