One person was detained following what was initially reported as a drive-by shooting in Warsaw.

Warsaw Police were called to the American Legion, 301 N. Buffalo St., at about 8:30 p.m. where a male suspect in a gold or tan colored Ford F150 pickup truck reportedly drove through the alley and shot at a vehicle. Police initially said they believed the weapon used was a .22 and that a single shot struck a vehicle “through and through.”

At about 10 p.m., however, an officer reported to dispatch that the incident was not a drive-by shooting, but instead it was believed a pipe may have been used.

At least three police agencies were involved in searching for the suspect vehicle, which was located in the area of CRs 600 East and 350 South, Pierceton.

This morning we have learned that one person of interest was interviewed, but so far no one has been arrested and there is not yet an available police report.
