Lorraine Kovar, 85, of Leesburg, Ind., passed away on May 15, 2013, at her residence.

She was born May 11, 1928, in Chicago, Ill. She was married to Larry Kovar Sr. who survives.

She moved to the Barbee Lake are full time 20 years ago coming from Chicago. She was a member of the Shepherd by the Lakes Lutheran Church in Syracuse, Ind.

She is survived by her husband: Larry Kovar Sr., Leesburg; three sons: Kenneth (Linda) Kovar, Colorado; Matthew Kovar, Bourbonais, Ill.; and Larry Kovar (Bernice) Kovar Jr., Leesburg; three daughters: Mary Ann Schmeski, Portage, Ind.; Elaine Kovar, Willmington, Ill.; and Laurie Wagner, Leesburg; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a sister: Dorothy Lesneski.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, in Shepherd by the Lakes Lutheran Church with Pastor Jerry Winegarden officiating. Burial will follow at the North Webster Cemetery/Mock Addition.
