Dorothy Oiler Bowser, 80, of Goshen, entered into heaven Friday, April 17, 2020.

She was born and grew up in West Virginia and moved to the Goshen area in 1970.

On April 22, 1989 she married Jim Bowser. He died August 4, 2014.

She is survived by two children, Benita (Joel) Geyer of Syracuse and Jim (Le) Oiler of Marshall, Michigan; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Grace (Danbury) Bostic; a son, Lyle J. Oiler and siblings, Anna Ruth Olson, Mildred Weaver and James Bostic.

A devout believer in Jesus Christ, Dorothy was a member of Wawasee Heights Baptist Church, Syracuse.  She was famous for her Hillbilly hotdogs and known as a woman who was always willing to help others.

She will be remembered as a great mom who loved her grandkids.

Visitation will be 1 – 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 South Main St, Goshen, where all of the social distancing guidelines will be followed.

A graveside service in Baintertown Cemetery, CR 29, New Paris, will follow the visitation time. Pastor Pat Park, Wawasee Heights Baptist Church, will officiate.

Memorial donations may be given to a food bank of the donor’s choice.
