Robert C. Zahn, 85, of Sarasota, Fla., and formerly of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, in Sarasota.

Bob was born in Reading, Pa., and grew up in Fort Wayne. He served in the United States Marine Corp. during World War II. He was retired from the General Telephone Company and loved Indiana University basketball, the Chicago Cubs and the Siesta Key beach.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by a son: Thomas (Valerie Donahue), Sarasota; and a daughter: Tamara (Tim) Wade, Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Phyllis.

There will be no memorial services. Local arrangements are by Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, Ind.
