The MasterWorks Festival Orchestra in Rodeheavor Auditorium, June 15, 2012.Attendees of the MasterWorks Festival will be treated to over 40 free performances featuring talented performers from all over the world. Performances will include soloists, orchestras, theatre and opera.

Sponsored by the Christian Performing Artists Fellowship, the festival runs from Friday, June 14, to Saturday, July 13.

This year’s performance schedule is as follows:

Friday, June 14: 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Faculty Chamber Concert

Saturday, June 15: 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Faculty Chamber Concert

Sunday, June 16: 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Faculty Recital

Thursday, June 20: 8:15 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Concerto Competition Finals

Friday, June 21: 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Daniel Meyer and featuring soloist Hugh Sung on piano. Rossini: William Tell Overture; Debussy: Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun; Tchaikovsky: Romeo and Juliet; Rachmaninoff: Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43

Saturday, June 22: 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Festival Orchestra conducted by David Bowden. Verdi: Overture to La forza del destino; Mozart: Flute Concerto No. 1 in G Major; Beethoven: Symphony No. 6 in F Major, Op. 68 “Pastoral Symphony”

Sunday, June 23: 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Faculty Recital

Friday, June 28: 2 p.m. Location TBD, Vocal Intensive Study Program Art Song Recital

Friday, June 28: 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium Philharmonic Orchestra Conducted by Darryl One and featuring soloists Karen Hill and Harry “Chip” Hill on clarinet. Wagner: Prelude to Meistersinger; Mendelssohn: Concert Piece No. 2, Op. 114; Sibelius: Finlandia; Brahms: Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98

Saturday, June 29: 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium Festival Orchestra conducted by Luis Haza. Glinka: Russlan and Ludmilla Overture; Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 in F Major; Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 6 in B minor

Sunday, June 30: 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Faculty Recital

Wednesday, July 3: 8:15 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Student Honors Recital

Thursday, July 4: 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Festival Orchestra conducted by Miriam Burns and featuring soloist Wei Yu on cello. Brahms: Variations on a Theme by Joseph Haydn; Ravel: Bolero; Dvorak: Cello Concerto in B minor

Thursday, July 4: 8 p.m. at McClain Auditorium, Long-Form Improv under the direction of Kaelen Carrier Followed by MasterWorks Theatre under the direction of Rich Swingle. Reginald Rose’s Twelve Angry Jurors.

Friday, July 5: 8:30 p.m. at the Hillside Amphitheatre, Fourth of July Pops Concert with the Philharmonic Orchestra Conducted by Patrick Kavanaugh and featuring soloists Steven Condy and Robin Leigh Massie

Saturday, July 6: 3:00 p.m. at McClain Auditorium, Long-Form Improv under the direction of Kaelen Carrier followed by MasterWorks Theatre under the direction of Rich Swingle. Reginald Rose’s Twelve Angry Jurors
