Mick Belcher

Mickey E. “Mick” Belcher, 75, Syracuse, passed away at 5:42 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Goshen Hospital. He was born on Jan. 5, 1945, in Rochester, to William and Margaret (Jump) Belcher.

He grew up in Rochester, graduated in 1963 from Rochester High School, and attended Western New Mexico University in Silver City, N.M. He was married on April 21, 2001 in Syracuse, to Karen S. (Wandrey) Huey who survives and lived in Syracuse for the past 25+ years. He was a farmer and formerly worked at Polar Ice in North Webster and was the owner and operator of Big League Barber Shops in Fort Wayne.

He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Belcher, Syracuse; two daughters: Andrea (Cliff) harris, Carmel; Debra Belcher, Rochester; son, Terry Belcher, Cicero; stepdaughter: Kari (Jerry) Sheward, Noblesville; stepson: Rob Huey, Fort Wayne; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Richard Belcher, Rochester.

He was preceded by his parents.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, at Calvary United Methodist Church 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the church with Pastor David Henry officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
