Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Thursday, May 9, 4:19 a.m. South Country Club Road, Warsaw. Driver: Len F. Osinski, 68, East 550 South, Warsaw. While pulling a trailer and boat with his truck, Osinski hit a dip in the road and heard a thump. The trailer came unhitched from the truck and exited the road into a ditch. Damages: up to $5,000

Thursday, May 9, 4:09 a.m. East SR 14 and South Bouse Drive, Silver Lake. Driver: Brian R. Donakowski, 51, West Corly Lane, Silver Lake. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000

Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Wednesday, May 8, 3:09 p.m. Lake City Highway and South 250 East. Drivers: Jamie L. Burnworth, 27, East U.S. 30, Pierceton; and Christopher Winchester, 20, Leesburg Road, Fort Wayne. Burnworth rear-ended a vehicle driven by Winchester which was stopped, waiting for traffic on U.S. 30. Damages: less than $1,000

Wednesday, May 8, 4:17 p.m. North Detroit and East Main streets. Drivers: Lisa M. Bricker, 42, North Main Street, Sidney; and Jon A. Whiteman, 44, Collins Drive, Warsaw. Bricker said Whiteman made a sudden stop while southbound on Detroit Street and her vehicle rear-ended his. Whiteman was attempting to turn left onto East Main Street when he saw an approaching emergency vehicle with lights and siren activated so he yielded the right-of-way. Damages: up to $2,500
