Rodney Lee “Rod” Blackburn, 59, Goshen, passed away at 3:21 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at his home. He was born on March 5, 1960, in Goshen, to Marshall and Vivian (Ratliff) Blackburn.

He lived most of his life in the Elkhart and Goshen area, attended Elkhart Community Schools, and was a United States Navy veteran. He was married on Oct. 16, 1982 in Goshen, to Cynthia D. “Cindy” Marner, who survives.

He loved fishing, hunting, golfing and especially spending time with the family.

He is survived by his wife: Cindy Blackburn of Goshen; three daughters: Miranda Blackburn of Goshen, Candice Blackburn of Goshen, and Monique Blackburn of South Bend; three grandchildren: Lyric Blackburn, Davien Blackburn and Justice Gipson

He was preceded in death by his parents: Marshall Blackburn and Vivian Adkins.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. No services will be held. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse is in charge of arrangements.
