Frederick C. Yoder, 77, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born on June 12, 1942, in Goshen, to Frederick “Carl” and Pauline (Miller) Yoder. Yoder married Marie Van Deipenbos on June 30, 1961, in Goshen.

She survives along with children: Kent Yoder, Teresa (Chip) Harley, and Nanci Yoder, all from Goshen; grandchildren: Mia (Boomer), Austin (Lyndi), and Hayli; a great-granddaughter: Harper; family friend: Dawn Hicks; and siblings: Joan (Larry) Overholser, Goshen; and Jeri (Bobby) Gluck, Syracuse. He was preceded in death by a sister: Jeannie Miller.

He worked as an electrician and retired from L&M Electric. He loved fishing, mushroom hunting, and Nascar. Yoder was actively involved with his 1960 Goshen High School graduating class and continued to be a big fan of Goshen athletics. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends and researching his genealogy. He enjoyed going on family vacations.

Visitation will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, and also for an hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, March 5, also at the funeral home. Father Larry Biller will officiate. Burial will be at West Goshen Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen High School Swimming or to DogTown Resort.
