Betsy, 92, of Plymouth, passed away on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020.

She was born on June 27, 1927 in Marshall County, to the late C.B. and Hattie May (Lichtenberger) McKinney. Two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.

She graduated from Culver High School in 1946 and married Don Milner. They had two children; John (Sheryl) Milner of Rolling Prairie, and Pam (Mark, deceased) Howdeshell of Rochester.

On June 28, 1986 she married John Aman of Plymouth, and their family grew to include each other’s children. John’s children are Richard (Jeanne) Aman of Plymouth; Roberta “Bobby” (Joe) Sharpe of Bluffton, S.C.; and Jim (SheriLyn) Aman of Galesburg, Mich.Together they have 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Betsy spent the majority of her life in the Culver area. She was employed at the State Exchange Bank in Culver for 22 years, as supervisor of the food service department. She often told us how much she appreciated her work and the people there. She and John enjoyed their summers together in the Culver/Rochester area, where they were often seen on John’s motorcycle, and their winters in Sebring, Fla.

John passed away into the arms of our Lord on Nov. 23, 1996 while wintering in Florida.

Betsy had many hobbies. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking (we all loved her cinnamon rolls), playing cards with friends, and painting beautiful landscapes, birds and flowers which she generously shared with her family. She had a great sense of humor and delighted in making people laugh.

Arrangements have been made with Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison Street, Plymouth, IN 46563). Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Stueve of Trinity United Methodist Church. Internment will take place at a later date.

Betsy requested that in lieu of flowers, friends and family could make a donation to Trinity United Methodist Church (425 South Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563), or to the charity of their choice.
