Officers with the Claypool Police Department investigated the following accidents:

5:58 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, West CR 700S, east of South SR 15, Claypool. Driver: Andrew P. Lincoln, 28, South CR 500W, Claypool. Lincoln was traveling east on CR 700S when his vehicle slid off the roadway, striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.

11:47 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, West CR 700S, west of SR 15, Claypool. Driver: Keagan J. Larsh, 18, South Woodland Trail, Warsaw. Larsh was traveling east on West CR 700S when a raccoon entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

7:38 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, North CR 300E, north of East CR 1100N, Milford. Driver: Sonya R. Baker-Yoder, 48, East Lapoint Drive, Milford. Baker-Yoder was traveling south on CR 300E when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.

9:56 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, South SR 19, near West CR 500S, Mentone. Driver: Tina M. Smythe, 47, South Beaver Dam Road, Claypool. Smythe was traveling north on SR 19 when a small animal entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.

6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, West CR 900S, near South CR 100W, Claypool. Driver: Keri A. Leasure, 23, Rozella Road, Warsaw. Leasure was traveling west on South CR 900W when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.

2:39 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, North SR 15, north of West CR 1350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Carl N. Becker, 72, CR 995, Ashland, OH; and Jessie J. Rains, 21, Jackson Heights Road, Plymouth. Becker’s vehicle rear-ended Rains’ vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.

7:03 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, South CR 700E, north of East CR 800S, Sidney. Driver: Brianna R. Prater, 25, South CR 700E, North Manchester. Prater was traveling north on CR 700E when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $25,000.

4:29 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, South CR 1000W, south of West CR 600S, Mentone. Driver: Larry F. Reyburn, 57, Commerce Street, Macy. Reyburn was traveling south on South CR 1000W when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

8:06 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, North CR 175E, near East Ridge Valley Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Carri N. Wilson, 46, North 2nd Street, Warsaw. Wilson was traveling north on North CR 175E when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.

3:53 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, West Old Road 30, west of North Riverwood Ranch Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Albert L. Hurd, 85, West CR 100N, Warsaw; and Ernie E. Morrison, 57, South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Morrison said he was traveling east on Old Road 30 when Hurd attempted to do a U-turn from the south edge of the roadway. Hurd’s vehicle then entered the east lane of travel, causing a collision. Hurd complained of abdominal pain and sustained a small puncture wound above his left ear. He was taken to Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne for treatment. Damage up to $25,000.

7:41 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, North SR 13, south of East CR 1120N, Syracuse. Drivers: Emma G. Ebright, 16, EMS B40A Lane, Leesburg; and Christopher E. Allen, 18, North Sawgrass Lane, Leesburg. Ebright was traveling north on SR 13 when she rear-ended Allen’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.

5:56 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, North SR 15, south of West CR 1350N, Milford. Driver: Jennifer L. Littlejohn, 36, North Highland Place, Warsaw. Littlejohn was traveling north on SR 15 when her vehicle went off the roadway and overturned. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.

8:39 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, East CR 350S, east of South CR 600E, Pierceton. Driver: Kaitlyn L. Imhoff, 27, East CR 250S, Pierceton. Imhoff was traveling west on East CR 350S when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

3:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, North CR 950W, north of West Hepton Road, Nappanee. Driver: Ryan E. Schwartz, 17, North CR 950W, Nappanee. Schwartz was traveling north on CR 950W when his vehicle left the roadway, rolling one time. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.

3:26 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, West CR 900N, west of SR 15, Milford. Driver: Marissa L. Murray, 27, Meadows, Nappanee. Murray was traveling west on CR 900N when her vehicle slid on the roadway. This caused Murray’s vehicle to leave the roadway, striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.

2:09 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, North CR 950W, north of West Hepton Road, Nappanee. Driver: Marion D. Otto, 20, Beech Road, Bremen. Otto was traveling north on CR 950W when his vehicle slid on the roadway. This caused Otto’s vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn into water, coming to a rest on its top. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.

10:48 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, West CR 100S, west of South CR 600W, Warsaw. Driver: Michael L. Sexton, 17, West CR 100S, Warsaw. Sexton was traveling west on West CR 100S when his vehicle left the roadway, striking a utility pole. Damage up to $2,500.

9:41 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, East CR 1300N, south of North CR 775E, Syracuse. Driver: Ronald L. Collins, 46, South CR 1200W, Cromwell. Collins was traveling east when his vehicle was ran off the roadway by another vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.

8:44 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, South SR 13, south of South Old SR 13, Pierceton. Driver: Geoffrey H. Markley, 39, EMS C29 Lane, Warsaw. Markley was traveling north on SR 13 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.

7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, South SR 13, north of South CR 600E, Pierceton. Driver: Kurtis S. Smith, 28, West Tower Street, Pierceton. Smith was traveling north on SR 13 when his vehicle spun on the roadway. A pickup truck traveling north then struck Smith’s vehicle. Smith attempted to talk to the pickup driver, but according to Smith, the pickup driver yelled at him and left the scene. Damage up to $2,500.

6:04 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, West SR 25, east of South CR 700W, Warsaw. Driver: Lucas S. Navarro, 18, North Arbutus Trail, Warsaw. Navarro was traveling east on SR 25 when his vehicle left the roadway due to snow on the road. Damage up to $1,000.

5:32 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, South CR 450W, south of West CR 350S, Warsaw. Driver: Adrian J. Kistner, 20, East Washington Road, Pierceton. Kistner was traveling south on South CR 450W when his vehicle left the roadway, striking a utility pole. Damage up to $5,000.

2:53 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 1692 E. CR 200N, Warsaw. Driver: Carlos J. Ramirez, 26, East CR 200N Lot 142, Warsaw. Ramirez was traveling east on CR 200N when for an unknown reason, his vehicle left the roadway, driving through a yard. His vehicle then struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle registered to Robert E. Marshall, Leesburg. Ramirez’s vehicle then continued north, striking a carport at Lot 181 owned by Phillip D. Fretz, Warsaw. Fretz’s vehicle was also parked and unoccupied underneath the carport. Ramirez’s vehicle pushed Fretz’s vehicle and the carport into the house located at Lot 181. Ramirez sustained several large cuts to his head and was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Damage up to $100,000.

3:42 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, South SR 19, north of West CR 500S, Mentone. Drivers: Chad A. Metzger, 44, South River Road, North Manchester; and Graham L. Groninger, 29, East CR 350S, Silver Lake. Metzger was traveling north on South SR 19 when he turned left into the path of Groningen’s vehicle. Metzger’s vehicle then left the roadway, damaging a fence owned by Eddy Tridle, Indianapolis. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $50,000.

9:10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, North CR 100E, north of East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Morgan E. Conn, 19, North Long Drive, Syracuse; and James O. Beck, 61, East Bucher Drive, Syracuse. Conn was traveling north on CR 100E when she rear-ended Beck’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

1 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, West Broadway Street, north of Main Street, Mentone. Driver: unknown. A vehicle sustained damage while it was parked near the Bulldog Bar and Grill. Damage up to $5,000.

6:23 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, South Packerton Road, south of East SR 14, Silver Lake. Driver: Jolene R. Scarberry, 31, East CR 1300S, North Manchester. Scarberry was traveling south on Packerton Road when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

3:41 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, North Fox Farm Road, near North CR 150W, Warsaw. Drivers: unknown; and Angelic D. Hendrix, 47, North Hartzler Street, Warsaw. An unknown vehicle was traveling west on Fox Farm Road when the driver attempted to make a right turn onto CR 150W. As they did so, they struck Hendrix’s vehicle while crossing the center line of traffic. The unknown driver left the scene on foot. Damage up to $10,000.

3:19 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, North Turkey Creek Road, north of East Wawasee Lane, Syracuse. Driver: Isaiah C. Grubbs, 17, East Wawasee Lane, Syracuse. Grubbs was traveling east on North Turkey Creek Road when he overcorrected his vehicle. This caused Grubbs’ vehicle to leave the roadway, striking a utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.

 

North Webster

Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:

10:10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 301 N. Main St., North Webster. Driver: Bruce A. Kurtz, 69, Sout Harkless Drive C8, Syracuse. Kurtz was backing his vehicle when he struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

10:48 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 12374 N. Kern Road, Syracuse. Driver: Dora S. Yoder, 25, North CR 375E, Syracuse. Yoder was traveling south on North Kern Road when her vehicle left the roadway, striking a road sign. Damage up to $5,000.

10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 1116 S. Harkless Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Travis S. Klenke, 38, East Sunset Drive, Syracuse. Klenke pulled into a parking lot when he struck a fire hydrant. Damage up to $2,500.

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

3:27 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2211 E. Center St., Warsaw. Drivers: Berneda D. Runkel, 53, West CR 550S, Claypool; and Martha S. Young, 70, Rieder Street, Warsaw. Ruknel was attempting to leave a parking lot when she struck Young’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

12:53 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1721 E. Center St., Warsaw. Driver: Ian D. Sheets, 24, Sunset Drive, Warsaw. Sheets was backing his vehicle out of a work bay at Pit Stop when his vehicle hit an overhead door. Damage up to $5,000.

2:24 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, East Market Street, near South Cleveland Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jerry E. Teeter, 59, Sherrill Street, South Bend; Margaret Brown, 29, Briar Ridge Circle, Warsaw; and Darrell D. Shepherd, 59, East Legacy Lane, Winona Lake. Teeter was traveling north on South Cleveland Street when he stopped and then pulled out to go north on South Cleveland Street. As he did so, he struck Brown’s vehicle. This caused Brown’s vehicle to strike Shepherd’s vehicle. Brown complained of abdominal and right pain as a result of the accident. A passenger in Brown’s vehicle, Leatha L. Brown, 60, Warsaw, complained of right foot and chest pain. Damage up to $10,000.

12:40 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, US 30, near Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Nathan J. Megething, 26, East Pleasant Grove Drive, Warsaw. Megething’s vehicle left the roadway, striking a light pole at the intersection of US 30 and Old Road 30. A passenger in Megething’s vehicle, Kathleen N. Clay, 27, Pierceton, complained of shoulder, chest and hip pain due to the accident. A second passenger in Megething’s vehicle, Makaila M. Boxley, 18, Warsaw, complained of chest, neck and shoulder pain. Damage up to $50,000.

6:21 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, SR 15, near East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Brandon D. Hoskins, 25, Alward Street, Warsaw; and Zachary T. Breeden, 24, Widaman Street, Winona Lake. Breeden was traveling north on South Detroit Street and had a green light when Hoskins’ vehicle turned left to travel east on East Market Street right in front of Breeden’s vehicle, causing a collision. Hoskins then left the scene due to being intoxicated. Damage up to $10,000.

5:18 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, 680 N. Colfax St., Warsaw. Driver: Clifford Slone, 75, East Market Street, Warsaw. Slone was backing his vehicle from a parking space when he struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

5:24 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, West Crystal Lake Road, west of South Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Driver: Ilse D. Acevedo, 24, Hickory Alley, Leesburg. Acevedo was traveling west on West Crystal Lake Road when a deer entered the roadway. Acevedo then swerved her vehicle, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. Acevedo’s vehicle sustained heavy front end damage. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.

3:28 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, North South Alley, near East West Alley, Warsaw. Drivers: Jennifer K. Rassi, 54, East Main Street, Warsaw; and Timothy D. Sprankle, 40, East Main Street, Warsaw. Rassi was traveling south in the alley behind 1516 E. Main St. when she entered an intersection, striking Sprankle’s vehicle. Both Sprankle and Rassi said a garage at the intersection was blocking their view. Damage up to $10,000.

2:14 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, SR 25, near South Indiana Street, Warsaw. Drivers: McKayla M. Hughes, 18, West CR 700S, Star City; and Chenee B. Gaff, 23, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Hughes was traveling east on Weast Winona Avenue when she rear-ended Gaff’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.                                                        

9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, Rozella Road, west of Fisher Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: unknown. A driver was traveling west on Rozella Road when it went off the roadway, striking a dual mailbox post owned by Daniel J. Denney and Carrie A. Brewer, both of Warsaw. The unknown driver continued traveling west and left the scene. No damage estimate listed.

7:42 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, SR 15, south of Enterprise Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Dawn M. Kindle, 62, Lakeview Boulevard, Warsaw; and Ana N. Kolton, 21, West Lake Park Drive, Warsaw. Kindle was traveling south on SR 15 when she merged her vehicle from the left lane to the right lane, hitting Kolton’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

5:21 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, Husky Trail, north of Canterbury Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Satwinder S. Grewal, 36, North Sandcastle Drive A., Warsaw. Grewal was traveling south on Husky Trail when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.

11:06 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, Lyon Street, near North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ricky E. Sanders, 42, North Park Avenue D., Warsaw; and Linda K. Heeter, 49, EMS B3B Lane, Leesburg. Sanders was traveling on North Detroit Street and turned to travel east on Lyon Street when he struck Heeter’s vehicle. Sanders complained of neck pain at the scene. Damage up to $2,500.

5:08 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, US 30, near Springhill Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Christopher M. Quimby, 27, Grove Street, LaPorte; Erica F. Allegretto, 33, Rattington Circle, Warsaw; Shirley E. Fetrow, 63, Willow Way, North Manchester; Emma G. Neal, 19, South 6th Street, Gas City; and Iris D. Uresti, 19, West CR 510S, Topeka. Quimby told officers he fell asleep while driving. Allegretto was unable to make a statement because she could not remember where she was or what occurred. According to the officers’ investigation, Quimby’s vehicle was in both the left and right lane of travel when he rear-ended Allegretto’s and Fetrow’s vehicles. This caused Quimby’s vehicle to spin and hit Uresti’s vehicle. Allegretto’s vehicle went off the roadway. Neal’s vehicle was also rear-ended by Allegretto’s vehicle. Allegretto was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital due to being disoriented. Fetrow and a passenger in her vehicle, Mary M. Polston, 63, Winona Lake, were taken to a local hospital for complaints of neck and back pain. Damage up to $100,000.

4:23 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, SR 15, north of Lyon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Iva M. Cornell, 18, East Armstrong Road, Leesburg; and Betty A. Tilton, 56, South CR 700E, Pierceton. Cornell was traveling north on SR 15 when she rear-ended Tilton’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

 

Winona Lake

6:24 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, Pierceton Road, west of Packerton Road, Winona Lake. Driver: Lauren E. Skaggs, 20, Windsor Avenue, Wooster, OH. Skaggs was traveling east on Pierceton Road when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.

4:16 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, Kings Highway, near 2nd Street, Winona Lake. Driver: Heather R. Raypole, 41, Kuder Lane, Warsaw. Raypole was traveling west on Kings Highway when a deer ran into the driver’s side of her vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

5:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, Olson Road, between Old U.S. 31 and U.S. 31. Driver: Ashley Young, no other information available. Young’s vehicle struck a deer.

12:33 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, SR 14 and 500W, Rochester. Driver: Brian Evers, no other information available. Evers’ vehicle struck a deer.

7:43 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, SR 17 and 550 South. Driver: Ryan Troutman, no other information available. Troutman’s vehicle struck a deer.

10:35 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 100 North and 100 West. Driver: Patience R. Hudkins, 23, Kokomo. Hudkins’ vehicle went off the road and rolled over.
