Brycelyn Garbison pitched a two-hitter as the Trojans routed Culver Academies 13-3 on Thursday night.

Garbison allowed just one earned run in the five-inning win for the hosts. She struck out five and walked one in the non-conference contest.

Triton scored nine runs in the second inning.

Krystal Sellers went 2-2 with a double for the Trojans.

 

Tennis Team Tops Jimtown

A pair of singles wins lifted Triton to a 3-2 win over Jimtown in Northern State Conference action.

Kaelyn Mason won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and Carrie Slabaugh posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles for Triton.

The Trojans also took the No. 1 doubles match as the team of Marissa Ross and Holly Stogsdill prevailed 6-2, 6-0.

Triton improves to 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the NSC.

 

Track Teams Victorious

The Triton boys and girls track teams each posted a pair of wins in home action.

The boys team totaled 83 points to edge LaVille (80) and beat Lakeland Christian Academy (3).

Jeremy Jones won both the 100 and 200 to lead the Trojans to the wins. Jesse Bruckholder was also a double winner, taking first in the 110 hurdles and pole vault.

Trenton Cooper won both the 800 and 3,200 for Triton. Other winners were Trent Stackhouse in the 1,600 and Blake Johnson in the high jump.

The Triton girls team was dominant in beating both LaVille and Lakeland. The Trojans piled up 90 points, while LaVille scored 49 and Lakeland Christian Academy had 23.

Bre Lemler and Jaela Meister each had huge nights for the Trojans. Lemler won the 100, 200 and 400 events, while Meister took top honors in both hurdles races and the pole vault.

Lexi Miller topped the field in both the 1,600 and 3,200 races for Triton. Shana Anderson won the 800 for the Trojans.

Becca Kennedy was the top performer in field events as she won both the shot put and discus for Triton.
