ANDERSON – Tanner Gaff had a big all-around game Thursday night to lead Whitko to a 14-2 prep baseball win at Anderson Prep.
Gaff notched the pitching win in the five-inning contest. He went four innings, allowing just one earned run with one walk and nine strikeouts.
Gaff also had a big night at the plate to lead Whitko’s 14-hit attack. He was 3-4 with three runs scored, two RBI and a double.
Alex Stoddard was 2-2 with a double and two runs scored for the Wildcats. Ryan Weigold, who pitched the final inning, was 2-3 with three runs scored, two RBI and a double.
Hunter Sroufe was 2-4 with two runs scored and two RBI for Whitko. Josh Kessie was 2-4 with two RBI.
Whitko, now 13-5, plays at Bellmont Friday at 6:30 p.m.
