Ricky D. “Rick” Baisden, 60, Warsaw, passed away at 1:11 p.m. on Monday, Dec 30, 2019, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw. He was born on Sept. 16, 1959 in Goshen, to Mose and Nelva D. “Nellie” (Rickman) Baisden.

He attended Stockbridge High School in Stockbridge, Mich., received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan University, and his Master’s Degree of Arts from Michigan State. He was formerly employed at the Center for Independent Living as a rehab therapist in Ann Arbor, Mich. for many years. He lived most of his life in Michigan before returning to the Warsaw / North Webster area 12 years ago.

He is survived by his mother, Nellie Hoene, Warsaw; four sisters: Sharon (Dave Lesser) Burgett of Chelsea, Mich.; Deb (Bud) Garman of Pierceton; Melissa (Tom) Lesser of Dexter, Mich.; and Sarah (Steve) Stern of News Port News, Va.; two brothers: William (Teresa) Baisden of Warsaw and Tom (Michelle) Baisden of Grass Lake, Mich.; two step-sisters, Jennifer (James) Sawyer of Michigan City; Amy Hoene of Indianapolis; 19 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his father, step father, Bill Hoene, and step mother, Linda Baisden.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. No services will be held at this time. Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, IN is in charge of arrangements.
