PIERCETON – Police have arrested a suspect in the robbery of the Lake City Bank branch in Pierceton that happened two days before Christmas.

Joshua R. Mort, 22, of 702 W. Tower St., Pierceton, was taken into custody early Friday after authorities served him with a warrant at his residence.

He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 4:13 a.m. Friday, and faces charges of robbery with a deadly weapon, a Level 3 felony, and theft, a Level 6 felony.

The robbery happened just hours after another robbery in Warsaw, but authorities have not linked the incidents.

Mort’s bond was set at $20,250 surety cash.
