First Federal Bank Target Of Robbery Monday Morning – Second Time In Six Weeks

WARSAW – First Federal Savings Bank in Warsaw was targeted again Monday in a robbery attempt.

An apparent employee at the bank at 402 E. Center St., came to the door and said there had been a robbery attempt.

The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. It was unclear whether any suspects had been detained.

The same bank was robbed almost six weeks ago

Twenty days later, another bank, Indiana Lakes Federal Credit Union, 322 S. Detroit St., three blocks away from First Federal, was also the target of a robbery attempt.

No arrest has been made involving the first two incidents.

Police said after the second robbery attempt that they believe there is a connection between the first two incidents.
