WARSAW – Joey Rastrelli is making great strides in her cross country career. And it could be just starting.

Rastrelli, an eighth grader at Lakeview Middle School in Warsaw, qualified and competed in the USATF Junior Olympic National Cross Country meet in Madison, Wisc., this past weekend. The distance maven for the Tigers competed against hundreds of competitors from around the country and placed 168th overall in the nation with a time of 16:21.

Rastrelli was named the Cross Country Athlete of the Year earlier this fall for Lakeview and was a multiple meet winner this past season for LMS.
