Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Wednesday, April 24, 9:38 p.m. North Detroit Street. Drivers: Samantha A. Clemente, 20, Pine Bush, N.Y.; and Susan R. Hoffman, 42, South 600 West, Silver Lake. Clemente was pulling out of the McDonald’s parking lot and pulled in front of Hoffman’s oncoming vehicle. Clemente complained of pain to the right side of her body and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment. Damages: up to $25,000
Thursday, April 25, 12:08 p.m. CR 300 North and Sheldon Street. Drivers: Sandra L. Johnson, 52, East Shoop Road, Pierceton; and Jacob W. Overton, 28, Michaels Street, Warsaw. Johnson was eastbound on CR 300 North when she made a left hand turn into oncoming traffic causing her to be struck by Overton’s vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
Thursday, April 25, 3:05 p.m. West Winona Avenue and South Lake Street. Drivers: Thomas G. Rusinack, 47, Packerton Road, Warsaw; and Tammy L. Nolan, 39, West 525 South, Claypool. Nolan was westbound on Winona Avenue when Rusinack pulled out in front of her vehicle causing the two to collide. Damages: up to $2,500
Thursday, April 25, 10:04 p.m. West Center Street and Leiter Drive. Driver: Gary L. Shuey, 41, East Market Street, Warsaw. Shuey was eastbound on West Center Street when he struck a deer in the roadway. Shuey sustained cuts on his face from the side window of his vehicle breaking. Damages: up to $5,000
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accident:
Wednesday, April 24, 3:41 p.m. EMS T9 Lane. Drivers: Leah N. Coble, 33, North 475 East, Leesburg; Bradley K. Potulney, 17, EMS W23 Lane, North Webster. Coble was following behind Potulney as both were westbound on CR 500 North. Potulney slammed on his brakes to turn into a driveway at the last minute causing Coble to rear end him. Damages: up to $2,500
Wednesday, April 24, 9:23 p.m. North SR 19. Driver: Marvin D. Berry, 46, Lincolnway West, Osceola. Berry was northbound on SR 19 when five deer entered the roadway in front of him causing him to strike on deer. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, April 26, 4:00 a.m. North SR 13. Driver: Jeffery L. Brewer, East U.S. 30 52, Pierceton. Brewer was on his way to work when he fell asleep behind the wheel. Brewer’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck a utility pole. Brewer complained of pain in both of his ankles and back and was transported by ambulance for treatment. Damages: up to $25,000

Officers of the Winona Lake Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Wednesday, April 24, 1:40 p.m. Kings Highway and Seminary Drive. Drivers: Robert L. Huffer, 76, Southfield Road, Winona Lake; and Lyndsay Hayes, 24, Center Road, Conneaut, Ohio. Huffer was following Hayes vehicle and rear-ended Hayes upon her attempt to make a left hand turn onto Seminary Drive. Damages: up to $5,000
Wednesday, April 24, 4:10 p.m. Montague Road. Driver: Jordan A. Foreman, 27, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Foreman was backing out of a driveway when he struck a tree. Damages: up to $5,000
