
Henry Shepherd, 73, Warsaw, died at 6 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at his farm with his loving wife, Toni and son Lee beside him.
His wishes of dying overlooking his farm he so loved were fulfilled. Henry was born Nov. 18, 1946, at home in Floyd County, Kentucky to Alex and Audie Ellen (Reffitt) Shepherd. He was married to Antoinette “Toni” Walker, who survives.
He was affiliated with Harvest Community Church of Pierceton. Henry moved to Warsaw in 1963 from Kentucky. He was a quiet man-humble, hardworking and honest who loved his farm and his family. He worked as a polisher at Hand Industries, Othy, and DePuy for a combined total of 40 years, in addition to making his own hay, raising cattle, and running the family farm.
Other survivors include one son, Lee (Melissa) Walker of Fort Wayne; one granddaughter, Madison Walker of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Martha (Claude) Wallen of Warsaw; Evelene (Joe) Serovy of Warsaw; Barbara (Larry) Robinson of Claypool.
Preceding him in death were four sisters, Margie Crum, Joyce Ann Shepherd, Jenetta Sue Shepherd, Sandra Kay Shepherd; his only brother and best friend, Monroe “Buddy” Shepherd (who died Oct. 6, 2017).
Also surviving one aunt, Josephine Yates and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 at the funeral chapel with Pastors Glenn Hall and Doug Lemon officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
