The training is being held at Grace College and is being conducted by  Haiti Women’s National Team coach Shek Borkowski and Grace College coach Michael Voss is for area girls ages 12-18.

“The first practice went great,” stated Borkowski. “The players have  great attitudes. They did some exercises which we do with our national  team players, and all youngsters participating have learned a lot.”

One thing unique to the first day of practice was that the young  players training with Haiti national team players weren’t subject to  the normal nerves and jitters that come with jumping into this level  training.

“I can already tell after day one that the players have certainly come  into our environment with confidence,” explained Borkowski.

Ashley Nault, a 13-year old  player from Rochester saw firsthand the benefit of  practicing with international players, and believes it will only make  her a better player.
“I think it is very exciting to go against these girls and I have  learned so today, said Nault of her experience.

The Haiti Women’s National Team is in the area preparing for the 2015 FIFA  Women’s World Cup and will play against University of Notre Dame on  Friday at 5 p.m.
