Midday Voting Appears To Be Light In Kosciusko County

WARSAW —  Voter turnout in today’s municipal election appeared to be somewhat light around the noon hour.

Polls will remain open until 6 p.m. Tuesday.

In addition to Warsaw, other communities having elections today include Claypool, Etna Green, Leesburg, Pierceton and Syracuse. Here’s a roundup what’s on the ballot in Kosciusko County.

The polling station at the Leesburg Lions Club, Leesburg, was experiencing a lull at noon. According to poll inspector Tyler Haines and poll judge Tom Ripsom, 37 people had cast votes by noon.

At the Center Lake Pavilion polling place in Warsaw, where city voters are casting ballots, poll workers said the turnout so far has been steady.

Approximately 500 people had voted at the Pavilion by noon.

As of 1:30 p.m., the Heritage Park building in Etna Green had 36 town residents cast votes.

The polling station at the Pierceton Community Building in Pierceton saw a steady turnout as of 1:15 p.m. According to poll inspector Carol Robbins, 85 voters cast their ballots.

As of 1:47 p.m., 27 residents cast their votes at the Claypool Lions Club building in Claypool.
