Alaina Bickel, Conrad Bickel and Anderson Bickel came to the Fall Carnival dressed as a washer, dryer and a laundry basket. Mom said she came up with the idea and dad was able to execute it.

SYRACUSE — It was a dark and stormy night Saturday, Oct. 26, but that didn’t stop area children from attending Lakeland Youth Center’s annual Fall Carnival at the Syracuse Community Center. However, there were no sightings of Snoopy dressed as the World War I flying ace looking for his arch nemesis the Red Baron.

Kids and parents alike enjoyed a variety of games, costume contests, snacks and a bounce house in the community center gym. The Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum was also open, offering children an opportunity to do a take home craft. Parents enjoyed exploring the museum’s displays while their children worked on their craft.
