Jerry Searfoss, 74, of Syracuse, passed away on Oct. 16, 2019, at his home.

He was born on March 25, 1945, in Syracuse, to Alva and Eva (Ritter) Searfoss. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Vietnam.

On Dec. 27, 1980, he married Kathy Shidler who survives.

He was a retired Lineman for NIPSCO.  He was a Mason, Shriner, and Eastern Star member for many years.  He belonged to the Nappanee American Legion Post 154.  He is survived by his wife Kathy Searfoss, son Bryan Searfoss.  4 grandchildren, and 6 greatgrandchildren.  He was preceded by 1 son, 2 sisters, and 4 brothers.

A Masonic Service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, at 1 p.m. followed by Military Honors at the Eastlund Funeral Home.  Friends may call one hour prior from Noon until 1.  Memorial contributions may be made to the donors choice.
