WARSAW — A southbound train is stopped and blocking the Anchorage Road and East CR 250 North crossings on the city’s north side.

The train is stopped between the Lyon Street crossing and CR 350 North. 

The train is expected to be stalled for up to several hours and police ask motorists to make alternative plans if they planned on using those crossings.

The city received word the front-engine may be suffering from mechanical failure, said Brad Kellar, public information officer for the Warsaw Police Department. They are sending another engine to get the train moving again.

It may take several hours to rectify the stoppage, Kellar said.
