Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
11:43 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, SR 13, south of Shoop Road, Pierceton. Driver: Gregory M. Divorak, 44, EMS T13 Lane, Leesburg. Divorak’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $25,000.
9:02 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, North CR 850E, south of East CR 150N, Pierceton. Driver: Remington J. Hurd, 19, EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton. Hurd lost control of his vehicle while approaching a curve in the road. The vehicle went off the side of the road and into an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll. Hurd was ejected from the vehicle and was flown by Lutheran Air to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne due to internal and head injuries. Damage up to $100,000.
3:07 pm. Monday, Sept. 30, Zimmer Road, north of Oakwood Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Trent L. Landrigan, 23, West CR 150S, Larwill; and Kimberly M. Bradford, 53, West CR 400N, Warsaw. Landrigan’s vehicle was traveling south on Zimmer Road. Bradford’s vehicle was traveling north on Zimmer Road. Both drivers stated a person was walking on the edge of the southbound lane. As Landrigan went past the pedestrian, the driver’s side mirror of his vehicle struck the driver’s side mirror of Bradford’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
1:17 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, SR 15, south of Union Street, Claypool. Drivers: Lisa K. Snider, 51, Neer Drive, Silver Lake; and Jon R. Henderson, 54, SR 15, Wabash. Snider’s vehicle rear-ended Henderson’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Silver Lake
Officers with the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:02 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, SR 15, south of SR 14, Silver Lake. Drivers: Sierra M. Hoff, 23, Market Street, Warsaw; and Todd E. Pinder, 46, Canal Drive, Carolina Beach, N.C. Hoff said she was stopped at the intersection of SR 15/SR 14, which is a four-way stop. Hoff said she began to proceed through the intersection when another vehicle failed to stop, causing her to come to a sudden stop to avoid a collision with that vehicle. As a result, Pinder’s vehicle rear-ended Hoff’s vehicle. Pinder confirmed Hoff’s account of the accident. Damage up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, Liverpool Road, south of St. Andrews Drive, Winona Lake. Drivers: Teresa Deafenbaugh, 58, Liverpool Road, Winona Lake; and Joel R. Dobbins, 49, Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Deafenbaugh’s vehicle struck Dobbins’ vehicle as Deafenbaugh was backing out of her driveway. Damage up to $2,500.
