NORTH WEBSTER — A Rochester woman faces charges following an accident in June that resulted in two injured people being airlifted.
Robin Christine Miller, 58, 1124 Bancroft Ave., Rochester, is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated resulting in bodily injury, a level 6 felony; causing serious bodily injury while operating a motor vehicle, a level 6 felony and operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in the body, a class C misdemeanor.
On June 29, Miller was involved in an accident at CR 800N and Syracuse-Webster Road, northwest of North Webster, that resulted in two North Webster residents suffering serious injuries.
Drug tests conducted afterward indicated Miller had methamphetamine in her system at the time of the accident, court paperwork said.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office reported that Miller was heading east on CR 800N in a 2012 Dodge Journey. Miller failed to see a southbound Harley Davidson and began to cross Syracuse-Webster Road, causing the vehicles to collide. Miller and a passenger in her vehicle were not injured.
Fredrick McKee, 62, North Webster, the driver of a 2006 Harley-Davidson, sustained head injuries. Shelley Boyd, 53, North Webster, a passenger on McKee’s motorcycle, sustained multiple internal injuries. Both were flown from the scene by Lutheran Air.
Miller was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail Sept. 25 on a $4,000 surety and cash bond.
