John LaTour Jr., 75, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away on April 16, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born on May 26, 1937, in Chicago, Ill., to John Sr. and Evelyn (Bergland) LaTour.  John moved to the Syracuse area in 1971. He was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by his wife: Penny LaTour, Syracuse; two sons: Fred and James LaTour; four daughters: Jolinda Brown, Jenny Hathaway, Star Jones and Julie LaTour; three step-daughters: Vanessa earl, Star Tyson and Doshia Singer; 26 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren; one brother: Kenneth Juday.

John was preceded in death by his first wife: Sandi LaTour; and his sister: Charlotte Schmoldt.

No services are planned. John’s wishes were to be cremated. Arrangements were handled by Eastlund Funeral Home.
