AKRON — Tippecanoe Valley boys tennis earned a 3-2 Three Rivers Conference win over visiting Whitko Tuesday evening.

Russell Paxton and Ethan Hartman combined for a 6-4, 7-5 win over Kaige Michael and Jackson Hollenbaugh at 1 doubles, while Cooper Walls and Annakin Pettit put away Braiden Wolfe and Jonathon Strayer, 6-0, 6-1 at 2 doubs. Payton Mills earned Valley its only singles win battling back from a 6-0, opening-set loss for a 0-6, 7-6(6), 6-2 win at the 1 singles spot, which lifted the Vikings to the team win.

Dylan Neese lost 4-6,2-6 against Aiden Hoffman beat Dylan Neese, 6-4, 6-2, at 2 singles, and Bryce Turner topped Owen Kirchenstein via another 6-4, 6-2 decision at 3 singles for Whitko’s two match points.

Valley’s JV won its match-up, 3-0.

Evan Harsh and Wyatt Reiter both collected singles wins, and Mason Purvis and Hunter Craft won a doubles shutout for the JV Vikings.
