BREAKING: Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Northwestern Kosciusko County

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northwestern Kosciusko County until 6:15 p.m. EST.

At 5:11 p.m. EST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Bourbon, or eight miles southwest of Nappanee, moving north at 10 miles per hour.

Hazards include 60 miles per hour wind gusts and nickel-size hail. Expect damage to roofs, siding and trees.

Locations impacted include Nappanee, Bremen, Bourbon, Etna Green, Hoffman Lake and Atwood.

For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
