SYRACUSE — Syracuse American Legion Post 223 is hosting two memorial ceremonies and urges the public to attend.

The first will commemorate 9/11 with a Remembrance Ceremony, 6 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Syracuse American Legion, 1008 S. Huntington St. (SR 13). This honors all who lost their lives that day and subsequently from the attacks on the United States by al-Qaeda.

The second will honor Prisoners-of War and Missing-in-Action. It will take place 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Legion.
