Some self-inflicted wounds did Wawasee in as the Goshen club won 23-25, 25-9, 25-11, 25-11 Monday in Syracuse. Clara Kerlin had six kills and five digs, Amanda Allen and Laney Gross combined for seven assists and Delaney Hare added three digs in the loss.

“Blue Blazers were very competitive and we made a few too many errors on our side,” stated Wawasee JV coach Bri Foster.

Another competitive contest that saw Goshen come out on top 25-19, 20-25, 15-10. Zoe Taylor led Wawasee in kills.

“Another close match against a good team,” said Wawasee freshman coach Natalie Decker. “I continue to see improvements on our side of the court and I love to see the progress.”

WESTVIEW 8TH GRADE 2, MILFORD 0

The Milford squad lost their first home game Monday against Westview in two sets 25-21 and 25-18. Stats were not provided.

TIPPECANOE VALLEY 8TH GRADE 2, NORTHFIELD 1

Jessa Schroeder paced Valley with six aces and four kills in the 20-25, 25-20, 15-5 win. Ava Smith chipped in five assists and three kills.

NORTHFIELD 7TH GRADE 2, TIPPECANOE VALLEY 0

The Norse came through with a 25-17, 25-23 win. Mackaylie Costello and Avery Wagoner both had three aces and Emma Patrick had three kills for the Lady Vikes.
