INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Star has announced the starting times and locations for six basketball games in June involving the Indiana All-Star teams.
The Indiana All-Star boys basketball team includes senior stars Clay Yeo from Triton and Demetrius Jackson from Mishawaka Marian. Yeo, the first-ever boys All-Star from Triton, will play at Valparaiso University. Jackson, who was a McDonald’s All-American, will play at Notre Dame.
Michelle Harter of Warsaw was selected as the coach of the Junior All-Star girls team. Harter guided the Tigers to a 24-2 mark during the 2012-13 season with conference, sectional and regional championships. Nikki Grose of Warsaw and Morgan Olson of NorthWood were both picked as part of the North Six Junior All-Stars and will play in two of the four exhibition games.
The Junior All-Stars will host Kentucky on June 7 at Greenfield Central High School and then play on June 8 at St. Xavier High School in Louisville. The girls games on both dates will begin at 5 p.m. with the boys contests to follow.
The Junior All-Stars will play a pair of exhibition games versus the Indiana All-Stars on June 10 and 12. The June 10 games will be played at Sullivan High School and with the June 12 contests at Tipton High School. The girls games on those nights will begin at 6 p.m. with the boys games to follow.
The Indiana All-Stars will play Kentucky on June 14 and 15 in the annual two-game series. The June 14 games will be at Freedom Hall in Louisville, starting with the girls game at 5:30 p.m. The June 15 contests will be played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis with the girls game first at 5 p.m.
