TIPPECANOE VALLEY 3, WEST NOBLE 0

It may not have erased the burn of last year’s sectional final, but Tippecanoe Valley got the latest laugh against West Noble.

Valley hosted the defending sectional champions and swept them 25-15, 25-12, 26-24.

Makenzie Woodcox had a monster night for the Vikes with 22 kills while Hannah Engstrand had 27 assists and Allison Miller had seven aces. Brayden Baney led the defensive line with 11 digs.

The Valley JV also posted a win at 25-16, 25-24. Macy Kirchenstien led Valley with 11 assists and five kills and Karli Hogue added 12 digs and four aces.

Valley (2-1) heads to Winamac Tuesday.

TRITON 3, OREGON-DAVIS 0

After a tough start to the week, Triton came through with a shutout of Oregon-Davis Thursday night.

Triton had to work, but put away the Bobcats 25-22, 25-21, 25-21 in the Trench.

Lexia Howstrawser had a nice night in leading Triton with eight kills, five aces and two solo blocks. Abbey Viers dropped in 13 kills, Emma Hepler had 17 helpers and Molly McFarland and Jaela Faulkner combined for 34 digs.

Triton (1-2) will pay Rochester a visit Monday night.

WARSAW 3, HUNTINGTON NORTH 0

The Lady Tigers opened its season with a bang, sweeping the Vikings in the Tiger Den.

Warsaw posted a 25-14, 25-7, 25-19 win, led by seven kills from Kaylee Weeks. The trio of Gwen Bellamy, Betty Barnett and Kennedy Lauck all had four kills. Kylie Smith and Abbie Porter had five digs each and Avery hales added 21 assists.

Warsaw’s JV won in two games, scores and stats were not immediately reported.

The Warsaw freshman team pulled out a 23-25, 25-14, 15-6 win over Huntington. Lauren Eastwood put together a big game, ripping seven aces to go with 22 assists, two kills and two digs. Mallory Mulligan added seven kills and Maylin Marrufo had five kills and five aces.

Warsaw (1-0) will take part in the Kokomo Tourney this Saturday.

WHITKO 8TH GRADE 2, LAKELAND CHRISTIAN 0
WHITKO 7TH GRADE 2, LAKELAND CHRISTIAN 1

Whitko won the eighth grade contest 25-12, 25-24 while the Wildcat seventh graders rallied 21-25, 25-16, 18-16.

Lani Calizo and Anna Silveus combined for six aces in the seventh grade game for LCA.

INDIAN SPRINGS 8TH GRADE 2, LAKEVIEW 1
LAKEVIEW 7TH GRADE 2, INDIAN SPRINGS 0

A back-and-forth affair saw Indian Springs win 24-25, 25-22, 15-7. Kenzie Chivington led Lakeview with six kills, four assists, three aces and two digs.

The seventh graders won by matching 25-13 scorelines. Daihya Chupp paced the Tigers with 10 aces, seven assists and two kills. Maddie Hollon added five aces and four kills.
