Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center will host a class on how to make goat cheese on Sept. 14.

GOSHEN — Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College will host a goat cheese-making class from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.

Learn more about raising goats, milking and turning goat milk into cheese. Participants will join Ruth Mischler, assistant professor and farm animal expert at Merry Lea, on her morning chores and practice milking. Then, Mischler will lead participants through the cheese-making process.

There will be time spent outdoors walking through the Merry Lea Sustainable Farm barn and time indoors learning how to make cheese. This program is designed for adult audiences.
