
Nancy Ellen Trump, 76, rural Mentone, passed surrounded by her family at 10:42 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, after an extended illness.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1942, in Warsaw to James “Ted” Russell and Frances (Martin) Koch.
She married on April 2, 1967, in the Bethlehem Baptist Church of Athens to Robert S. Trump, he survives.
She worked for Resistance of Mentone and also for Niff-Corr in the office retiring in 2007 as well as being a homemaker and a mother.
She was a 1961 graduate of Talma High School. She furthered her education in 1993 by attaining her Associates Degree in Accounting from Ivy Tech Community College of Warsaw. She was a member of the Master Gardener’s and the Homemakers Extension both of Kosciusko County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mentone for over 40 years and served there as an Awana leader for many years. Nancy was an avid camper at Jellystone Campground and enjoyed quilting, gardening, NASCAR, I.U. Basketball, and raising butterflies. She volunteered her time helping with open class exhibits at the 4-H Fair and windowsill gardening with the third grade at Mentone Elementary. She also treasured the time she got to spend with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Trump, Tippecanoe; daughters: Lisa (Joe) Secrist, Mentone; Amy (David) Doles, Brookston; grandchildren: Christopher, Hannah, Katelynn and Megan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gene Koch.
Visitation for the family will be held from 3-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 16, at King Memorial Home, Mentone. The service will be the next day at 10:30 a.m., also at the funeral home. Pastor Joe Olson will officiate. Burial will occur at Mentone Cemetery.
