WARSAW — The streets and roads of urban and rural Warsaw turned yellow Tuesday morning, Aug. 13 as Warsaw Community Schools welcomed students back for the start of the 2019-2020 school year.

Teachers and administrators were present outside of the school corporation’s numerous buildings to personally greet students at elementary, middle schools and Warsaw Community High School.

“Warsaw Community Schools is excited to welcome back roughly 7,000 students as we start the 175th year of public education in our community,” said Superintendent Dr. David Hoffert.

The district boasts eight elementary schools, two middle schools and the high school, as well as the Warsaw Area Career Center and Gateway Education Center.

“It is our privilege and honor to partner with our local families,” said Hoffert. “Our schools are blessed with incredible teachers and staff ready to make the 2019-20 school year the best ever.”
