PIERCETON — A motorcycle driver has been transported to a Fort Wayne hospital after the motorcycle was struck by a vehicle at approximately 7:11 p.m. tonight, Sunday, Aug. 4. The accident was on Pierceton Road, west of CR 600E, south of Pierceton.

Samaritan Air Ambulance was called to the scene, but disregarded when it was approximately nine minutes away from the scene when the decision was made to transport the driver by Lutheran EMS.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash between the motorcycle and a Pontiac Firebird, which was located some distance from the crash site.

Pierceton Fire and Lutheran EMS also responded to the scene.
