WARSAW — Two dozen children at the Pete Thorn Center got an up-close look at some animals from Potawatomi Zoo on Monday.

Melissa Gunter, the youth program coordinator with Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend, gave the children an up-close look at a Madagascar Hissing cockroach, a Kenyan Sand Boa, a Tiger Salamander and a domesticated European rabbit.

The “Zoo Bash” was sponsored by the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department.
