This is a free summer reading program event open to all children and their families.

The next day at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 25, kids will have the opportunity to learn about the weather from Mike Lewis of the National Weather Service Station during North Webster Adventures. Family Movie Time will follow with two showings at noon at 3 p.m. of a movie about puppies in space. The movie is rated G with a one hour 24 minute runtime. Free popcorn will be served.

The last day to receive prizes in the summer reading program is Saturday, July 27. Kids need to turn in their summer reading credits by that date to get the prizes they have earned.

Tickets are still available for the library’s Dixie Cruise fundraiser Monday, July 29. The cruise sails at 4:45 p.m. For $25 per person, patrons can cruise around Webster Lake on the historic Dixie Sternwheeler and enjoy a banana split after the cruise at the Webster Park pavilion. Tickets can be purchased at the library circulation desk or from any Board of Trustees member. All proceeds go to the library’s building and sustainability fund to help build the new library facility.
